Yuhuangding Park
Province:

Shandong

City:

Yantai

Yantai Yuhuangding Park, also called Small Penglai, is one of the buildings that have been preserved comparatively intact. Located in the center of the city proper, it occupies a total area of 8.9 hectares, among which the construction area numbers 0.5 hectare and the rest are covered by grass and trees.

The Park gained its name from the Yuhuang Temple whose history dates back more than 600 years. In some 1368, the people in Yantai built this temple to worship the Emperor of Yuhuang.

The Park looks more like a painting with trees towering and palaces and pavilions standing. The main construction contains three parts--the Small Penglai Pavilion, Yuhang Temple and Yuhuang Pavilion. It affords a panoramic view of the whole city.
