Yabuli Ski Resort is 193 km outside of Harbin. The place used to be the royal hunting ground in the Manchurian Qing Dynasty. Covering an area about 23 square km, the resort is China's largest ski area with the best facilities. Its highest altitude is 1374.8 meters and the average temperature is -10℃, with the lowest temperature being -44℃. Average snow fall is 20-50cm at lower part of the mountain, 100cm at the top of the mountain. Cable car lifts are also available. Yabuli Ski Resort is surrounded by mountain ranges covered with pine forests. The best season for skiing is between the middle of November and the end of March.

Yabuli has a number of quality down hill and country trails, ranging from runs for new skiers to highly challenging ones, some of which are comparable with those in North America and Switzerland. In addition, the resort has new runs being planned. Yabuli also has the longest toboggan run in the world. Yabuli International Ski Resort has 9 lifts cover the whole ski area, total captivity could reach 1500 person per hour. The longest lift exceeds 1606m, vertical drop reaches 570m, average slop is 18°.

The resort is not only famous as a ski resort in China but also renowned for its scenic beauty. The resort is surrounded by imposing mountain ranges lavishly covered with pine forests. There are also a large number of animals in the area, which was granted a National Park status in 1993.
