Beihai

Wenchang Pagoda is situated about two kilometers south of Hepu County. These three hundred years old pagodas were originally built in 1613 during the reigns of Emperor Wanli of the Ming Dynasty. It is a 36-meter-height white octagonal pagoda with red roof eaves tapering upwards, complete with a gourd top. Within the pagoda, each floor has an east and a west ventilating doors, and another six 'dummy' smaller doors solely for decoration purposes.
