This enormous garden is located at Songfeng Road in Foshan and was built 170 years ago by a Qing-dynasty official, Liang Airu and his three nephews, to symbolize their good fortune. With exquisite buildings, unusual rocks, lucid waters and a large collection of calligraphic works, it has been popularly known as one of the four most famous gardens in Guangdong. Restoration work has been under way since the 1980s and there is now 21,260 square meters of garden open to public as work continues.
