Changchun

Banruo Tmeple locates the northeast Cape of the People Square in the center of Changchun. It is the biggest Buddhism temple in Changchun. The temple, although not traditionally old (construction only began in 1921), is a perfect example of Buddhist architectural structure. The temple boasts a total space of nearly 15,000 square meters and is filled with beautiful halls and garden settings. Nowadays around 40 practicing monks live their life here, meditating, eating, sleeping and the like.

The gate of the temple is constituted by three arched doors that are juxtaposeds. They are finely divided and ingenious buildings. There are three yards in the temple. They are the Mile Palace, the Daqiongbao Palace and the Western Three Saints Palace. The Daqiongbao Palace is the center of the temple and is the biggest building. The external appearance is solemn. The Gautama's statue is dedicated in the palace. The Eighteen Luohan stand the two sides. There are colorful paintings on the wall. There are two palaces at the two sides of the main palace. The east one is the Guanshiyinpusa Palace and the west one is the Dizhangwangpusa Palace. There is a great deal of writing of the Buddhism.
